Hello Students!
We're excited to welcome you to our ELA 20 summer course! Over the next four weeks, we'll be diving into an exploration of characters, conflicts, literary genres, narrative structures, poetry, and essay writing.
This course will provide an engaging and challenging curriculum to enhance your understanding of various forms of literature and literary elements. Our readings will include a variety of genres from diverse authors and cultures, including First Nations, Métis, Saskatchewan, Canadian, and international texts. We'll also be examining literary techniques like imagery, symbolism, and theme, along with different narrative structures and conflicts in literature.
This is a place of open dialogue and thoughtful discussion, where all perspectives and voices are valued. Through this course, we aim to not only enhance your understanding and analysis of literature but also cultivate a sense of social responsibility and awareness of diverse identities.
Assignments and tests will be geared towards practical application of the concepts we study. Every week will consist of daily assignments and a weekly test to track your progress and understanding. The goal is to learn, grow, and express your own unique voice through writing.
We know you will all bring valuable insights and ideas to our virtual classroom. We're looking forward to a great summer of reading, writing, and critical thinking together!
Happy Learning!
